Family and Friends
Kidney failure, or end-stage renal disease, affects everyone in the patient’s circle. Those close to the patient may be feeling stress, depression and/or anxiety. Family and friends can miss out on time together with the patient. They may have a hard time providing help such as transportation for a loved one when the patient needs dialysis treatments. As a family member or a friend of a patient with kidney disease you might be looking for a way to help.
This section of the Explore Transplant website highlights ways you can help the patient, learn more about transplant, and find other sources of information.
