Dialysis
Dialysis is an effective treatment that supports life by taking over some of the work that the kidneys do. Basically, dialysis uses a filter or a fluid called dialysate to remove wastes, salt and extra water from the blood. The process also keeps a safe balance of chemicals in the blood. There are two types of dialysis: hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
